Lake County Health Department issues stickers to disaster-area feeding stations that pass inspection

RELEASE DATE: February 15, 2007

Inspection Sticker
TAVARES – In an effort to help assure the safety of residents affected by the Groundhog Day tornadoes and volunteers assisting with recovery efforts, the Lake County Health Department is issuing stickers to feeding stations that have passed Department inspections. 

These orange stickers will assist all those seeking meals more easily identify organizations serving food that meet the minimum safety and sanitation requirements. 

Any organization wishing to provide food services in affected areas must be inspected prior to serving the public. To notify the Health Department of food services operating without an inspection sticker, or for vendors and volunteer food service providers wishing to be issued a sticker, call the Health Department at: (352) 253-6130.
