“This is one piece in the puzzle,” Cadwell said. “The momentum in the parks is really great for Lake County.”
Lake County currently has several new park projects in various stages, including North Lake Community Park, Ferndale Preserve and PEAR Park.
“We’re just not building new parks,” Stivender said. “We’re going back and taking care of our existing parks as well.”
The current boat ramp at Arnold Brothers Boat Ramp is being repaired and additional amenities that will be included during the construction phase are a 200-foot boardwalk, a pavilion with picnic tables, a new parking lot and increased landscaping. The estimated $350,000 renovation project to the .15-acre recreational facility is expected to be completed in six months. The boat ramp will close Monday, March 5, to allow for construction.
