TAVARES — The Lake County Department of Community Services, Housing & Community Development Division, is proud to be hosting the Florida Community Development Association (FCDA) 2007 Annual Conference & Training at Mission Inn Resort & Club from May 23-25.
"It's a gathering of housing and community development professionals from all over the state and most of us are community development block grant (CDBG) administrators," said Liz Eginton, Director of the Housing & Community Development Division and a member of the FCDA board of directors.
The conference offers these professionals opportunities to network and learn about current trends and issues. Of particular interest this year, is a track for municipalities interested in applying for or administering CDBG Small Cities grants and pre-conference training on May 22 on sub-recipient management. There will also be sessions of general interest to anyone administering federal grants on labor standards and environmental audits, and a tour of community and economic development projects in Lake County.
Registration forms for the conference can be downloaded from the FCDA Web site at http://fcdaonline.com/annualtraining.pdf.
