TAVARES — The 17th Annual Showcase of Senior Services is scheduled for Friday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds, located at 2101 County Road 452, Eustis.
The showcase is an opportunity for senior citizens and caregivers of Central Florida to meet with local government officials, vendors and agencies that provide services and products to Lake County’s elderly population. The event is presented by the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.) of Lake and Sumter counties and Mid-Florida Community Services Inc.
Participants at the showcase include several sections from the Lake County Department of Community Services, Citizen Support Services Division, including Veteran Services, Volunteer Program and Elder Affairs. Other agencies participating include local health care providers, Medicare Part D providers and social service agencies. The Medicare Part D van currently touring Florida will be available at the showcase for residents to ask questions about specific plans to suit their individual needs.
