TAVARES — Lake County park rangers will lead a nature hike and paddling adventure on Saturday, June 30, beginning at 9 a.m. at Lake Idamere Park, located at 12335 County Road 448, Tavares.
The hike is about 1.5 miles along a trail looking for migrating songbirds and butterflies. Following the hike, rangers will conduct a guided canoe and kayak trip on Lake Idamere. Participants are required to bring their own canoeing and kayaking equipment, including life vests.
Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Park rangers also recommend bringing binoculars, field guides, sunscreen, insect repellent and water. The event is dependent on the weather.
