TAVARES — An opportunity to view sculptural works by cutting-edge female artists from Central Florida awaits art goers at the City of Tavares art exhibit reception on Friday, March 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, located at 201 E. Main St.
The exhibit will showcase 11 members of the Florida committee of the National museum of Women in the Art, Central and Central East Region. Several hundred artists and patrons belong to this group, and some of the artists are internationally recognized with their works being collected and displayed worldwide.
The sculptural works will be presented at the Tavares art show in a variety of media. This exhibit will feature the sculptural works of Sandra Storm (bronze), Mindy Colton (bronze), Donna Jackson (stone), Kathleen Cole (stone), Cheryl Bogdanowitsch (bronze and wood), Yolanda Vankougnet (mixed media), Laurie Wack (ceramics and mixed media), Julie Kessler (mosaics), Sandra Sellers (ceramics), Ginger Roberts (mixed media) and Estella Fransbergen (Raku).
