The Lake County Library System announces the appearance of nationally recognized mystery authors for the Third Annual Festival of Reading from April 1-8.
The list includes the following outstanding and award-winning ladies: HarperCollins authors Mary Kay Andrews (Savannah Blues, Little Bitty Lies, Hissy Fit, Savannah Breeze) and Susan McBride (The Good Girls Guide to Murder, Blue Blood, The Lone Star Lonely Hearts Club); Nancy Martin (Dead Girls Don’t Wear Diamonds, How to Murder a Millionaire, Some Like it Lethal, Have Your Cake and Kill Him Too), Sarah Strohmeyer (Bubbles A Broad, Bubbles Betrothed, The Secret Lives of Fortunate Wives and The Cinderella Pact), Mary Anna Evans (Relics, Artifacts), Wendy Howell Mills (Death of a Mermaid, Callie and the Dealer and a Dog named Jake, Island Intrigue).
Men of mystery will offer a wide variety of styles beginning with Lake County’s own Bob Morris (Bahamarama and Jamaica Me Dead), Michael Lister (The Body and the Blood, Power in the Blood, Blood of the Lamb), Paul McElroy (Treasure Coast Archipelago, Spirit Chaser), Terry Lewis (Conflict of Interest, Privileged Information), Robert Gandt (Black Star, Shadows of War, The Killing Sky), Marshall Frank (Beyond The Call Dire Straits: A Miami Novel, On My Fathers Grave) and more.
A unique addition to the Festival program will be entertaining and informative panels by members of the The Book Tarts and another by the Mystery Writers of America. All events in the libraries are free to the public.
Lake County Reads authors Lynn Sholes and Joe Moore (The Grail Conspiracy) will appear at a dinner co-sponsored by the Leesburg Friends of the Library and the Leesburg Public Library. This event will be held at the Venetian Gardens Community Building on Saturday, April 6. HarperCollins author Mary Kay Andrews will be the featured speaker for the W. T. Bland Public Library luncheon at Lake Receptions on Wednesday, April 5. These events are ticketed. Information on costs and tickets are available at the library.
