LEESBURG — Lake County park rangers will guide a nature hike on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Palatlakaha Environmental and Agricultural Reserve (PEAR Park), located at 5336 University Ave., off U.S. Highway 27 near Leesburg.
During the hike, rangers will point out any wildlife and plants and will introduce the participants to the park's restoration site for Florida Scrub-Jays and Northern Bobwhites. Rangers suggest participants bring a sack lunch to enjoy after the hike at one of the park's new pavilions.
Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Park rangers also recommend bringing insect repellent and water. For more information or to make reservations for the guided tour, call Park Ranger Gallus Quigley at (352) 742-0992 or e-mail email@example.com.
