LEESBURG — The Lake County Parks & Trails Division, in cooperation with the PEAR Association, will offer two educational classes on Wednesday, Dec. 12, and Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Palatlakaha Environmental and Agricultural Reserve (PEAR Park), located at 5336 University Ave., off U.S. Highway 27 near Leesburg.
The classes are recommended for educators and naturalists as the programs are designed to give them information and teaching tools they can use in their classroom settings. The first class will explore rock classification and the second is an introduction to mineralogy. Each class includes a lecture and laboratory component.
