TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners will not meet at its regularly scheduled time of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, but will hold a meeting at 5:05 p.m. with the main agenda item being to consider changes to the current schedule of school impact fees.
The public hearing will take place in the Commission Chambers, located on the second floor of the Lake County Administration Building at 315 W. Main St. in Tavares. During the hearing, County Commissioners will weigh the merits of the Lake County School Board's request to change the level of school impact fees by considering the collected data from County staff, representatives from the School Board and the Lake County Impact Fee Committee, and hearing comments from all interested parties. School impact fees are one-time charges on all new residential developments and are paid when a project is permitted.
