PAISLEY — The Lake County Extension Office, in partnership with the Lake County Department of Public Safety, Fire Rescue Division, is hosting a fire-prevention program on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Paisley Community Center, located at 24958 County Road 42.
"This awareness program will be a learning experience for everyone," said Martha Thomas, Livestock & Natural Resource Agent for the Lake County Extension Office. "Families are encouraged to attend to meet Smokey Bear and to learn how they can make their entire community fire-wise."
Some of the features of the program include meeting local firefighters, learning how to make a home fire-wise, understanding the benefits of prescribed burns and free hot dogs and refreshments.
