MOUNT DORA — The Mount Plymouth-Sorrento Planning Advisory Committee will host a workshop on Tuesday, March 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Round Lake Elementary School, located at 31333 Round Lake Road, Mount Dora.
The purpose of the workshop is to introduce the community to the newly appointed committee. The Lake County Board of County Commissioners appointed seven new members to the committee on Feb. 26. The seven new committee members are: Priscilla Bernardo Drugge, G. Curtis Duffield, Jeanne Etter, Leslie Garvis, Dr. Ronald E. Holman, Scott Taylor and Judith Weis.
The workshop will also provide the public with a question-and-answer session. Topics to be included are transportation, comprehensive planning, economic development, schools, parks, design standards and the Main Street area. Staff from a variety of local agencies, including Lake County Planning & Community Design Division, Lake County Department of Public Works, Lake County Department of Economic Growth & Redevelopment, Lake County Parks & Trails Division, Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization and Lake County School Board, will be in attendance to help answer questions.
