TAVARES — The Lake County Extension Office will present a two-part, educational series titled “Take Control of Your Finances” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, and Wednesday, June 25, at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
The “Take Control of Your Finances” series will teach participants how to set financial goals and develop a plan to of action to secure their financial future. Additional topics included in the series include identifying leaks in spending, developing a spending plan, understanding and wise use of credit and reducing risk of identity theft.
“There is a lot of financial uncertainty these days. While you can’t influence the economy as a whole, there are a number of things you can do to help your individual situation,” said Julie England, a Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent with the Lake County Extension Office. “It is easy to overlook where your money goes. Reviewing and understanding your personal financial situation will help you feel more in control of your life.”
