TAVARES — The United Arts of Central Florida recently announced, in partnership with the Lake County Arts & Cultural Alliance, that it would be offering two opportunities for local organizations to learn about grant funding.
The two workshops for Lake County organizations are scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Gallery on First, located at 211 E. First St. in Sanford, and Tuesday, June 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Mount Dora Center for the Arts, located at 138 E. Fifth Ave. in Mount Dora.
The workshops will instruct potential applicants on how to complete the online application as well as answer any questions regarding eligibility, application process, scoring, fiscal reporting requirements and post-approval process. To reserve a seat for either of these workshops, call Minda Logan, Director of Grants & Government Affairs for United Arts of Central Florida, at 407-628-0333 ext. 27 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Lake County Board of County Commissioners established the Lake County Arts & Cultural Alliance in September 2007. The seven-member committee was formed with representation from local municipalities and was created to advise the Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to arts and cultural affairs within the County.
