TAVARES — At its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 17, at 9 a.m., the Lake County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing in its chambers, located on the second floor of the Lake County Administration Building at 315 W. Main St. in Tavares, regarding improvements to County Road 19A from U.S. Highway 441 to Old Highway 441.
The public hearing is a result of a roadway conceptual analysis study for the corridor. The purpose of the study is to identify and evaluate alternative alignments and typical sections for widening of County Road 19A. The hearing will feature a presentation by the Lake County Department of Public Works and the contracted engineering company of HNTB Corporation, as well as a public-comment period regarding the proposed improvements to the corridor. Staff from the Department of Public Works will be available for questions before and after the hearing.
