TAVARES — The Lake County 4-H Program is encouraging local residents to help support a 4-H member that was recently involved in a serious accident while riding her horse.
Several events are planned to help Brandi Baker, president of the Sorrento Renegades 4-H club, and her family defray medical expenses.
On Saturday, April 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. a dinner at the Area D Horse Show at Clarcona Horseman’s Park, located at 3535 Damon Road in Apopka, will benefit Brandi and her family. The $10 barbecue dinner includes a drink. For more information, call Vicki Prettyman at (321) 303-2274. Tickets can be purchased from the Lake County 4-H Office located at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
All 4-H members are invited to participate in the Brandi Baker 4-H Horse Show Benefit at the Lady Lake Equestrian Center, 40810 Grays Airport Road, on Friday, May 12, beginning at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, May 13, beginning at 9 a.m. For more information, call Linda Bradley at (352) 750-0756. The public is invited to watch this show with 4-H members performing showmanship, equitation, horsemanship, barrel racing, pole-bending and many more events.
