TAVARES — VolunteerLAKE, the Lake County Department of Community Services' volunteer center, is presenting a half-day workshop titled “Neighboring: Engaging Low-Income Communities in Volunteering” on Monday, Oct. 20, from 1 to 5 p.m. at 1300 S. Duncan Drive, building E, in Tavares.
The workshop will teach participants how to plan project partnerships by learning the key steps of the process and how to reach out to and mobilize the community. The workshop will include presentations from guest community leaders, which will help participants glean tips on how to engage a community.
