TAVARES — Two free “Happy, Healthy Holidays” programs will be held at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares, on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m.
“The holiday season can cause financial, physical and mental stress,” said Julie England, a Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent with the Lake County Extension Office. “The Happy, Healthy Holidays programs provide information on planning your holiday spending, healthy eating, inexpensive gifts and stress reduction.”
The “Happy, Healthy Holidays” programs are part of the Timely Topics series, which will continue until April with one program presented each month, except February, which will have two programs. All programs are free and provide research-based information that participants can use to improve or enhance their daily lives. All programs during the Timely Topics series will be offered in the daytime and evening.
Pre-registration is appreciated but not required for Timely Topics programs. For more information or to register, call Rene Bass at (352) 343-4101 or e-mail email@example.com.
The Lake County Extension Office sponsors all programs, which is a partnership between the University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences, and the Lake County Board of County Commissioners.
