TAVARES — In an effort to increase communication between Lake County Government and those it serves, the Lake County Board of County Commissioners is unveiling next month a new digital newsletter.
Citizens, community groups and property owners are encouraged to sign up to receive the quarterly newsletter by logging onto www.lakecountyfl.gov/newsletter/. In addition to signing up for the new County newsletter, interested individuals can also sign up for existing digital publications, including the quarterly Tourism newsletter, weekly compilation of County news releases and quarterly Library newsletter.
The purpose of this newsletter is to inform citizens about the inner workings of Lake County Government. Features of the quarterly newsletter include a message from the County Manager’s desk, interview with an employee, an article detailing a County service and a breakdown of a budgeted cost.
“I am very excited about this project,” said County Manager Cindy Hall. “I envision this newsletter will give the County a new conduit to communicate important safety tips, promote upcoming events and mention the County’s recent accomplishments. More importantly, the main goal of the newsletter will be to inform residents about the County’s operations in hopes they will better understand the everyday services we provide to the community.”
In addition to the e-mailed version, a printed version of the Lake County Quarterly Newsletter will be available at County libraries and offices. For more information about the Lake County Quarterly Newsletter, call the County Manager’s Office at (352) 343-9888.
