‘Look Twice — Save a Life’ is the message of the Lake County Motorcycle Safety Fair on May 9

RELEASE DATE: April 24, 2009

CLERMONT — The Lake County Motorcycle Safety Team, a subcommittee of the Lake County Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST), is hosting the Second Annual Lake County Motorcycle Safety Fair on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at future site of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office substation in South Lake County, located at 15855 State Road 50, Clermont.

The free event will feature safety-related information on motorcycle education, safety exhibits, free giveaways, children’s events and a speech from a representative from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

“Come learn about sharing the road with motorcycles and safe driving practices,” said Noble Olasimbo, Chairman of the Lake County CTST.

The Lake County CTST is a multi-jurisdictional agency with cooperation between Lake County, local municipalities, other organizations and concerned citizens. The Lake County CTST uses a multi-disciplinary approach to solve roadway safety problems in Lake County. The team is comprised of individuals representing engineering, law enforcement, emergency services, traffic-safety education and the public.
