“Using their home computer, children can explore the many treasures and adventures awaiting them in Lake County,” Kathy Pagan, Tourism Specialist with the Department of Tourism & Business Relations. “Kids can learn about wildlife, habitats, history and more through games and colorful, kid-friendly interfaces. This CD is fun for the whole family to explore.”

The CD-ROM features a variety of fun games that are influenced by the fun adventures found in Lake County. A few of the interactive games include travel bingo, scavenger hunts, trivia, mazes, puzzles and word scrambles.

In addition to the games, “A Kid’s Passport to Lake County” list places where families can fish, ride on a boat, kayak, view wildlife and go horseback riding. Several themed vacation itineraries are included in the CD-ROM, such as the “Good Times, Florida Style” itinerary, which includes suggestions of visiting the Showcase of Citrus in Clermont, Long & Scott Farms in Mount Dora and Adventure Cove Mini Golf in Mount Dora.

The Lake County Department of Tourism & Business Relations is currently marketing “A Kid’s Passport to Lake County” CD-ROM through Radio Disney in the markets of Miami, Jacksonville and Tampa.
