TAVARES — From improving its economic base, to standing tall in the face of peril, Lake County has taken a positive step forward in the past fiscal year.
The public is invited to witness Thursday, Oct. 21, as Board of County Commission Chairman Debbie Stivender and other County leaders outline the successes of the past year in the annual State of the County presentation. Included in the presentation will be a host of honors bestowed to growing companies and the recent inductee to the Lake County Women’s Hall of Fame.
The theme for the State of the County message and the Lake County 2003-2004 annual report is “Mapping our Future.“
With spirit, cooperation and dedication, Lake County continues its path of excellence by proactively ‘Mapping our Future.’ The theme of the Lake County 2003-2004 fiscal year annual report captures and defines the vision of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners,” Stivender wrote in her letter addressing Lake County citizens in the annual report.
The State of the County presentation will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. at the JoAnna Ballroom of Lake Receptions, located at 4425 Highway 19A, Mount Dora. Refreshments will be served.
