Solid Waste collection to resume Wednesday

RELEASE DATE: September 3, 2019


TAVARES – All offices of the Board of County Commissioners, including the Lake County Animal Shelter and Lake County Libraries, as well as the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, administrative offices of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Health in Lake County will remain closed on Tuesday, Sept. 3 and Wednesday, Sept. 4 and will reopen on Thursday, Sept. 5, weather permitting.
The Tax Collector's Office will open Wednesday.
Solid Waste
Lake County Solid Waste will collect Tuesday’s residential trash for those living in unincorporated Lake County on Wednesday, Sept. 4, as was planned for this holiday week.
• Tuesday’s regular collections will be picked up Wednesday
• Wednesday’s regular collections will be picked up Thursday
• Thursday’s regular collections will be picked up Friday
• Friday’s regular collections will be picked up Saturday
Residents are encouraged to secure yard waste and trash prior to the storm and dispose of trash at a convenience center after the storm, if needed.
The Lake County Landfill, located at 13130 County Landfill Road, Tavares, and all convenience centers will resume normal business hours on Wednesday. The following Convenience Centers: 10435 Log House Road, Clermont and 25014 Rancho Lane, Paisley, are normally open on Wednesday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Solid Waste will resume bulk trash pickup on Wednesday, weather permitting. To schedule a pickup, call 352-343-3776.
