Howey-in-the-Hills – Mission Inn Resort & Club will host the Symetra Tour’s inaugural Mission Inn Championship this month from Oct. 15-17. It is presented by Insurance Office of America (IOA).
During the Symetra Tour, which is also known as the Road to the LPGA, competitors will battle for a total purse of $125,000 on the El Campeón course. Individuals are set to compete in a 54-hole stroke play format with a cut to the low 60 players and ties after 36 holes. The winner’s share for the event is $18,750. The 84 starting contestants include Wake Forest University golfer Rachel Kuehn, who is being sponsored by Mission Inn.

Mission Inn Resort & Club has hosted more than 20 NCAA Championships and numerous PGA qualifying schools on both its golf courses over the years, as well as U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifiers. However, this month’s competition on the 103-year old El Campeón course is the first LPGA event to take place at the resort.
