Fire Rescue Customer Satisfaction Survey

The career firefighters of the Lake County Office of Fire Rescue protect more than 323,000 County residents and visitors in an area covering approximately 1,100 square miles. The men and women of the Lake County Office of Fire Rescue are dedicated, highly trained professionals who take pride in helping people around the clock, everyday of the year.

The Office of Fire Rescue responds to emergencies that threaten life and property daily. Fire Rescue operates 25 staffed Fire Stations strategically located throughout Lake County and serves both rural and urban areas. Advanced Life Support is currently provided at twenty (20) of these stations. The office responded to more than 23,990 emergency and non-emergency calls last year, with a response time of 6:35 minutes to 80% of emergency calls.

Fire Rescue is divided into two branches, Administration and Operations. The Administration branch performs many of the central core functions necessary to support the smooth operation of a large fire rescue agency. The Operations branch consists of the personnel trained in firefighting, emergency medical, special operations and hazard mitigation and the equipment that is used to respond to a variety of emergency calls.

Regular office hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To obtain an Incident Report from Fire Rescue, fax a request to 352-343-9516 with date of incident and the incident address that firefighters responded to. For a medical report, call Lake Emergency Medical Services at 352-383-4554. For property insurance related information, submit our Property Insurance Information Request Form.
