Public Works - Engineering - Survey
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
Manages the Surveying Section of the Public Works Department, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, policies and procedures. Responsible for supervising staff, coordinating field surveys for all Public Works projects, managing related contracts and agreements, reviewing plats, determining public rights of ways and easements, maintaining survey records and maps, and performing related administrative, supervisory and technical work as required.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying or a closely related field with six (6) years of related experience. Professional Surveyors lacking a formal degree are welcome to apply and additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
Requires extensive knowledge of the public land system.
Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.
Requires state licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper.
