Public Works - Engineering - Survey

Conducts topographic surveying to support the design of County engineering and public works projects. Responsible for using survey equipment and instruments to collect data and make computations, researching property records as necessary, maintaining survey records, providing crew leadership in the absence of the Party Chief, and performing related tasks as assigned. This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires High School Diploma or GED with two (2) years surveying experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class "E" driver license.
Preference will be given to candidates who have obtained and maintain a Certified Survey Technician (CST) certification and have knowledge of operating a modern total station instrument and data collector.
THE ANTICIPATED STARTING SALARY FOR THIS POSITION IS $11.82 PER HOUR WHICH IS $24,585.60
