Performs trade specific work in the maintenance of County buildings, building systems and equipment. Responsible for installing, maintaining repairing and replacing building systems and equipment, maintaining assigned tools and equipment, preparing work records and reports and providing professional and courteous customer service at all times. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires high school diploma or GED plus accredited trade school certification or better for the position being filled preferred or, completion of state recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent. Requires five (5) years of related experience.
Prefer journeyman license for plumber or electrician positions, or EPA Technician Certifications, Type II and III, or Universal Certification for HVAC.
Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.
