Assists the transportation program and works as a liaison with the Metropolitan Planning Organization. Responsible for assisting in short and long-range plans, developing policy and procedures, monitoring and evaluating transit operations, working on funding strategies, performing analysis and resolving related problems. Will also be responsible for Mobility Management; consisting of short-range planning, management activities, training and projects for improving coordination among public transportation, para-transit, and other transportation service providers with the intent of expanding the availability of services. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Bachelors Degree in Transportation Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field and five (5) years of related experience in transportation or a similar field with comprehensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its specific applications to public transportation.
Requires a valid Florida Class "E" driver's license.
