Engineering Manager

Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide leadership and management of the County’s Engineering Division and its associated programs. The position is responsible for supervising subordinate staff, overseeing the various functions of the division, including traffic engineering, transportation planning, stormwater design and management, development review, roadway design and permitting, communicating and coordinating activities with other professionals, agencies and the general public, and performing related professional, administrative and supervisory tasks as required. The position develops and implements programs within organizational policies; reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.

This position is required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $67,267.20 - $110,884.80 DOQ

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) or a closely related field. Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.

Must possess licensure as a Professional Engineer in the state of Florida. Requires six years of progressively responsible related experience.
