The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform a variety of administrative and technical tasks to help ensure the proper regulation of the licensing of persons engaged in the construction industry in accordance with County codes and regulations. The position is responsible for supervising subordinate investigators and the hearing coordinator. The position is responsible for identifying unlicensed contractors, investigating complaints and preparing investigative reports, and providing professional and courteous customer service at all times. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires Associate’s Degree in Business, Code Enforcement or a closely related field.
Requires a valid Florida driver’s license. Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) Level I – IV Certification
or an ICC International Property Maintenance Inspectors Certification. Requires four years of related experience.
