Public Works - Engineering - Design Engineering

Job Summary:
Uses Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), Geographic Information System (GIS), CorelDRAW, and/or PowerPoint to prepare maps, drawings, construction plans, and other illustrative materials. Responsible for preparing graphics and PowerPoint presentations for use at public meetings and County Board meetings. Responsible for gathering and ensuring the accuracy of technical data and information, preparing designs and maps, and performing related technical and administrative duties as assigned.
May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires High School diploma or GED, and one year of college or vocational school education in computer-aided drafting and design, engineering technology or a closely related field with five (5) years of related experience with minimum of 4-years in ACAD version R14 or later.
May require a valid Florida driver's license. May require AutoCAD and/or GIS certification or to obtain within 6 months of hire.
