With a strong emphasis on customer service, this position performs technical and administrative work and assists with the coordination of programs in an assigned unit. Under direction and supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of administrative and technical functions in accordance with rules and regulations of assigned programs. (If position is in Housing, programs could include the Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program (CDBG),Neighborhood Stabilization (NSP) program, the HUD Housing Choice Voucher, and/or the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program or other various federal and state funded programs.)
May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration, Social Services, Construction Management or a closely related field with two (2) years of related experience. (If position is in Housing, may require within two years of employment: completion of the National Community Development Association CDBG Practitioners’ training, Florida Housing Coalition Income Eligibility, Housing Choice Training or Housing Rehabilitation training.)
Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.
