ASSISTANT VETERANS SERVICE OFFICER
Responsible for assisting in coordination and supervising the programs and activities of the County Veterans Service Office. Responsible for assisting with staff supervision, serving as a professional liaison to veterans and their dependents to help ensure clients receive the full benefits they are entitled to as veterans, maintaining client records, and performing related administrative and clerical functions as assigned. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires Associate’s Degree in Business, Social Services or other relevant field with three (3) years of related experience. Must have completed active duty service in a branch of the armed forces during a period of war of at least eighteen months, and must be separated from such service under honorable conditions, in accordance with Florida statutes. Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
