Creates and implements the County's Economic Development plan related to the expansion, recruitment and retention of targeted business and industry. The position builds consensus and collaboration between the local business community and Lake County’s workforce partners to ensure a productive and high performing workforce development ecosystem. The position is responsible for small business assistance and growth, providing assistance to the business community and county government in dealing with regulations affecting the relocation or expansion of business and industry in Lake County, and defining and promoting strategic corridors to stimulate economic activity. The position is responsible for managing assigned budgets, performing related professional and administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other closely related field with five years of progressively responsible related experience. Requires a Florida driver's license.
