The Office of Parks & Trails maintains parks, recreation sites and boat ramps, and natural public lands. Listed below are a few of the more popular recreational lands of Lake County's three dozen parks, preserves and boat ramps. Follow the park links to view more details about each park, including amenities, photo slideshow, map and a listing of events taking place at each park. On October 13, 2000, the Wekiva River and tributaries of Wekiwa Springs Run, Rock Springs Run, and Black Water Creek were designated for inclusion into the National Wild and Scenic River System. The 41.6-miles of the system include wild, scenic and recreational classifications which are managed as a partnership wild and scenic river with multiple state, local government, agency and non-profit involvement with federal oversight by the National Park Service. Lake County is a partner on the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System Advisory Management Committee.

Park rangers, in partnership with the Lake County Water Authority, guided a paddling adventure along the Blue Creek Run of Lake County’s Blueways discovering the beauty of this area while learning about precious freshwater resources and seeing different plants, birds and other wildlife.
